Welcome to Red Dirt Camping!

Why the name Red Dirt Camping? Firstly, our store is located in Dubbo and as kids we were taught at school that Dubbo means red earth and the soil for the large part is a red colour. Secondly, we love the Simpson Desert with its ever changing landscape of red sand dunes and our logo is a stylised red sand dune or hill. However, we simply loved the name and thought it was a good fit for our shop.

Red Dirt Camping came into existence as a way to fulfil our own camping needs and it has grown from there. We are passionate campers and tourers who love to explore the great Australian outback. Red Dirt Camping's catch phrase is to "Get it Dirty!" and we do our best to do this as often as possible.

Red Dirt Camping has a range of tents, canopies, 4WD accessories, swags, camping furniture and camping products to suit your needs. We enjoy meeting and talking to people in our store and on our trips about their own travels. Being a truly independent, family owned camping store we listen to our fellow travellers and customers and source products to suit.

Come and visit us at our Red Dirt Camping store on the Mitchell Highway, 58 Victoria St West Dubbo (02) 6885 5955. We are situated between the bike shops and over the road from Western Plains Automotive Service Center. We have been in our present location for nine years and have an extensive showroom with a large range of products on display. Alternatively, some of our product range is now available online for your convenience.
